November Newsletter
This week we experienced our 40th day of school. How time
flies! Thanks you all for coming out to
parent teacher interviews! I appreciate any communication between home and
school. I believe this is a key to each child’s success.
Winter Apparel
Please ensure your child arrives at school with appropriate winter
apparel. Please label each and every item to help prevent items from
disappearing! I encourage you to keep an extra pair of socks and clothing in
your child’s backpack, as with our winter weather at the moment it is easy to
get soggy!
Blog
Our classroom blog is up and running! I try to update it at least once a
week with upcoming events, learning tips and classroom happenings. http://1cstthomas.blogspot.ca/
I would like to start posting pictures on our blog of the students
highlighting what we are doing in the class. If you WOULD NOT like your child’s picture on our blog please let me know
by November 11.
Take Home Reading
Take Home Reading is now under way! Please ensure envelopes are returned
Mondays and Thursdays. If you feel their reading material is above or below
their independent reading level, please let me know.
Agenda
A reminder to initial your child’s agenda every night. I will place a
sticker each day when I see your initials. As well, our behavior communication
has gotten underway. I will continue to place a green, yellow, or red dot to
communicate how your child’s day went. Please let me know if you have any
questions regarding this system.
