Day 88 of Grade 1

Can you believe that your child is almost half way through their school year in Grade 1!

Here are a few items concerning next week:

- Student Led Conferences: Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30
Come celebrate your child's successes so far this year! Let them guide you through their portfolio to look at their progress and celebrate their learning. This is drop in style as it is not a meeting with me, but with your child. At the end of the conference I would ask that you fill in a 2 stars and a wish with your child and leave it on your way out. I look forward to seeing you all and watching the kids as they take the reigns on showing you their work!

- Library is Thursday next week.

- Daily 5 update: We are starting our Écoute la lecture portion of Daily 5 next week. If you are able, I would ask that you send in a pair of headphones labelled with your childs name. We will be using these for this centre. Thanks in advance for those headphones I have already received!

Here is a look at our artwork this week! We made a 5 senses Bonhomme Carnaval, to represent our 5 senses but create excitement for our upcoming Carnaval week here at St. Thomas.
